The Best and Most Popular Vegan Recipes 2020

People often cite vegan food as being boring or tasteless. The truth? Vegan food is the fastest evolving, most diverse, and innovative cuisine on the planet right now.

Top chefs and vegan recipes blogs all over the world are continuously coming up with great new ways to cook plants in new and delicious ways. Some are beautiful, some healthy, some naughty, and some downright wacky.

Here at Dolma Vegan Fragrances, we love vegan cooking almost as much as we enjoy crafting vegan perfumes. So, we thought we’d share some of the most popular vegan recipes and best vegan recipes we’ve tried this year.

The Most Popular Vegan Recipes 2020

Best Vegan Breakfast Recipes

Fluffy Vegan Scramble Eggs – Minimalist Baker

This is not just one of the most popular vegan recipes on Minimalist Baker. We see this vegan breakfast recipe everywhere!

Vegan egg has become a hugely popular product over the last year or so. Brands like JUST Egg and ORGRAN Vegan Easy Egg™ have been exceptionally well received by the vegan community.

The fact is, many vegans miss eating eggs for breakfast (us included!). This recipe from Minimalist Baker is relatively simple to put together and contains just 9 real and wholesome ingredients.

Once you have created the vegan egg batter, it can keep for up to a week in the fridge. So, if you want eggs every morning of the week, you could just cook up a large batch at the weekend.

If you don’t fancy making vegan eggs from scratch, you can buy one of the vegan egg brands mentioned above.

Vegan Blueberry Pancakes – A Couple Cooks

Pancakes for breakfast? It might seem strange to us Brits, but in America, it’s a breakfast staple and for a good reason! These delicious blueberry pancakes are highly rated and have some great reviews.

The total cooking time is just 20 minutes, so if you’re after a quick hearty and healthy (sort of) vegan recipe, then this is for you.

The recipe makes eight large pancakes which you can serve up with maple syrup and some fresh fruits. The perfect start to a Saturday or Sunday morning!

Vegan Full English Fry Up – BBC Good Food

This is a tried and tested monster of a breakfast recipe from BBC Good Food. Most of us grew up enjoying a full English breakfast on a Sunday morning. Some of us vegans need this!

Now, with the latest alternative meats, such as vegan sausages and bacon, it’s never been easier to whip up a quality vegan full English. This recipe is simple to put together, and we highly recommend adding some vegan bacon.

It’s also a real crowd-pleaser. If you’re trying to get anyone to reduce the amount of meat in their diet, this is a great recipe to prove to them how it can be done. Show them that they can still enjoy traditional foods but “veganized” without any compromise on the taste.

Best Vegan Lunch Recipes

Roasted Potato & Veggie Power Bowl – I Love Vegan

A quick vegan recipe that is packed full of nutritious goodness. You can’t go wrong with this vegan lunch recipe from I Love Vegan.

The bowl is made up of spicy roasted potatoes, crispy-crunchy chickpeas, spiced, slightly sweet carrots, courgette medallions, garlicky sautéed kale and a zesty + creamy hummus dressing. Yum!

If you’re looking to refuel your body, this bowl will give you all the fibre, protein, carbs and healthy fats you need to take on the day.

Quinoa Vegetable Soup with Kale – Cookie + Kate

Cookie + Kate is one of our favourite food blogs for vegan recipes. This quinoa veggie soup is not only delicious, but it packs some powerful nutrients too.

This soup is a real home comfort food which we like to serve with some multiseed crusty bread. The bonus with this recipe is that it freezes well so you can make a large batch and freeze some for quick future lunches.

We suggest that you top this off with Violife’s parmesan cheese for an extra flavour boost! You might think this is a dish made for winter, but it’s genuinely great all year round, and you can change the veggies you use to match each season.

Vegan Veggie Sandwich – The Kitchen Girl

Here at Dolma, we love a good old fashioned sandwich for lunch while we discuss our ideas for new awesome cruelty-free perfumes. Crunchy veg, avocado and some vegan mayonnaise. Simple, effortless, but divine.

This vegan veggie sandwich is simple but delicious, and you can mix up the ingredients as you wish. If you like, you could add some vegan luncheon meat, but it’s really not necessary. If you want a healthy vegan recipe for lunch, this is perfect.

Best Vegan Dinner Recipes

Super Simple Vegan Burrito Bowl – Veggie Inspired

Are you in search of a lazy vegan recipe for dinner? Look no further, this is it. The super-simple vegan burrito bowl is a great way to feed the entire family (or just your greedy self).

You can make this recipe in just 20 minutes using some basic ingredients, and you can tweak it to your liking. Here at Dolma Vegan Fragrances, we like to add tortilla chips to scoop out the burrito mix. It’s delicious and adds that beautiful crunch to the meal.

Feel free to get inventive with the veggies you use and the level of spiciness. We enjoy adding some Oatly sour cream to top it all off. Delicious!

Vegan Mushroom Stroganoff – Ela Vegan

A classic dish that is probably one of the most popular vegan recipes ever. This dish is hearty, wholesome, healthy, and just downright tasty.

If you hate mushrooms, you may want to skip to the next recipe on the list. If you love mushrooms, then you’re going to love this recipe from Ela Vegan. It’s incredibly simple to make and best served on top of white rice. You can add a crusty piece of bread to go with if you’re feeling extra hungry.

This recipe is excellent for two reasons. First, it’s straightforward and quick to create. Second, it makes a lot of food which means you can feed a large family or group of friends on the cheap. We highly recommend using fresh herbs for the best results.

Vegan Summer Pasta – Lazy Cat Kitchen

Lazy Cat Kitchen is another one of our favourite food blogs and this one of the best vegan pasta recipes out there. All her food is simple but delicious. Summer is fast approaching, and what better way to celebrate than with a big bowl of summer pasta? Another great lazy vegan recipe!

This dish is really simple to put together and includes summer vega including courgette, ripe tomatoes, grilled artichokes and Kalamata olives. We highly recommend to spend the extra cash for the artichokes, they really bring the whole dish together.

Not only is this recipe easy to put together, but it’s also perfect for a big family or group of friends. It’s a real crowd-pleaser, so if you’re looking to show off vegan food, this is a great choice. We like to always add a teaspoon of Kalamata olive juice during cooking and use fresh parsley for garnish. Don’t hesitate with the olive oil!

You can also mix it up with the veggies. Take out any veggies you don’t fancy and replace with those that you like. Simply one of the best vegan pasta recipes around, enjoy!
